Scarlet Guard

The Scarlet Guard is an assortment of Reds who rebel against the Silver reign. Mare Barrow joins this group in Red Queen, after she found out her brother Shade was executed in the army for trying to run. The leader, Diana Farley, has her stay in the castle as Mareena Titanos. Her betrothed, Maven Calore, also joins, and her childhood friend, Kilorn Warren, also joins, despite Mare's protests.

Near the end of Red Queen, the Scarlet Guard discovers Maven has been using them all in a scheme his mother, Queen Elara had planned out all along. After Mare and Cal survive the Bowl of Bones, the Scarlet Guard saves them, and takes them on a train to their HQ, where Mare discovers Shade is alive and a newblood, like her, and the Scarlet Guard is much larger than she thought.

In Glass Sword, the General, a.k.a General Farley, a.k.a Farley's dad, locks Mare and Cal in a prison lined with Silent Stone, and Kilorn betrays Mare and helps the General lock them in. But then, TWIST, Kilorn knocks the General out, and Shade knocks the rest of the men helping the General out, and they escape.

Mare and the rest of the newbloods, including Cal, Farley, and Kilorn, and goes to make her own little camp. Later in the book, they reunite with the Scarlet Guard and the General and Mare come to good terms.
