Tiberias Calore V was the fifteenth ruler of Norta. His reign lasted from September 2, 270 until August 1, 296 NE.
Biography[]
After observing the rite of Queenstrial, Tiberias V married Anabel Lerolan of House Lerolan, the traditional governors of Delphie. Tiberias V also kept a male consort, Robert Iral, of House Iral, whom he crowned as a prince.
Queen Anabel and Prince Robert were both great patrons of the arts during their king's reign. Though less inclined to the military than his father, Tiberias V partially raised his son at the front to prepare him to lead a nation at war.
In 293 NE, the King hosted a banquet for the Silver court at Whitefire Palace, during which his son met his future wife, Coriane Jacos. For two years after that, Tiberias V fought a cancerous wasting disease, until the court noticed something was amiss. Robert stayed with him for the whole time and in his last days, Tiberias V called upon his son to tell him what he needed to know as the heir to the crown. Despite the best efforts of his personal skin healers, the King passed away. A few months later, his consort, Prince Robert, died of heartache.[1]
Despite the conflict with the Lakelands, Tiberias V's reign was considered peaceful and prosperous for the Silvers of Norta.[2]
Physical Description[]
Tiberias V was tall and lean. His hair was silver and he wore an evenly razed beard. He had liquid gold eyes and handsome cheekbones.
